Richard Blackwell

I try to strike a healthy work-life balance, stretch my boundaries and contibute to my communities. My interests include travel, walking, sport, museums and art exhibitions, food and cooking, friends and family.

In recent years I have walked the West Highland and Great Glens Ways in Scotland, the White Peak Way in Derbyshire, the Dingle Peninsula in Eire, the Cornish and Dorset sections of the West Coast pathway, Hadrian's Wall and the Cumbria Way.

In 2008-9 I trekked in the Peruvian Andes, Chilean Patagonia, Brazilean canyons and onto Kilimanjaro during a sabbatical career break. I have undertaken volunteering in England, Peru and Argentina.
